It seems very clear to me that there is a movement by municipal social workers to move the crackhead elements out of the downtown core and into the last cheap real estate in the city: Leslieville. I had a lovely neighbour couple that renovated (over two years) a huge 3 story stand alone house. When they sold to a non resident couple the house was turned into a rooming house for troubled social welfare people because the rent is deducted from their cheques and deposited directly into the landlords account. This is a sweet deal for all but the neighbours who are now getting their property vandalized by crackheads looking for anyway to get $10 to buy another hit.... from the house beside me, of course.
